Alchemie Technology’s CEO and Founder Dr. Alan Hudd, was honoured to join and speak at the UKFT Sustainability Conference 2025, hosted at Drapers’ Hall, London. The event was supported by The Textile Livery Group and had the overall theme of “Innovation in Action”. This year marked the conference’s fifth edition and has become one of the most important platforms in driving real change across the UK fashion and textile supply chain.
Approaching Sustainability Across the Supply Chain
With representatives from global brands, retailers, manufacturers, researchers, innovators, policymakers, and funders all in attendance, the conference covered what is currently happening in the industry as well as what’s to come.
The latest innovations driving a more sustainable industry were discussed, from next-generation materials and low-impact dyes and finishes to advanced manufacturing technologies and recycling solutions. Providing practical insights into how the industry is approaching sustainability across the supply chain. Among speakers leading the change was Dr Alan Hudd. Contributing his expertise and advanced digital dyeing technology, while sharing how Endeavour™ can address sustainability challenges in textile colouration.
Redefining Sustainability
The innovations driving sustainability within textiles were divided into four main sessions: Next Generation Materials and Colours, Next Generations Colours and Finishing, Next Generation Manufacturing, and Next Generation Recycling. While respective panel discussions explored how materials, chemistries, policies, and technologies offer promise, action remains the key. Throughout the panels, the need for practical steps to integrate innovation into brands and textile manufacturers was key to redefining sustainability within fashion and textiles, both in the UK and around the world.
Integrating Sustainability through Alchemie
During his presentation, Dr Hudd explained how innovation can be described as the combination of invention and commercialisation. This is what Endeavour™ aims to be. Designed to tackle the environmental challenges faced within the industry while offering productivity and efficiency gains, Endeavour™ can turn sustainability ambitions into scalable action.
"Brands are asking for proven solutions – and that’s what we’ve developed with Endeavour™. A precision digital dyeing system that reduces wastewater, cuts energy consumption, and delivers consistent, high-quality results at scale."
Dr Alan Hudd, CEO and Founder at Alchemie Technology
Alchemie Technology’s Endeavour™ solution dramatically reduces the footprint of textile colouration and is capable of integrating seamlessly into brands and textile manufacturers’ processes. Capable of dyeing any fibre either natural or synthetic (cotton, polyester, or advanced textiles), with less water and precise chemistry application. Using less resources naturally means lower cost, whereby using Endeavour™ brands and textile manufacturers will be able to reduce their production costs by up to 50%.
Turning Sustainability into Action
With the theme of this year’s UKFT Sustainability Conference being “Innovation in Action”, throughout the event it was clear practical steps are being taken to address the environmental challenges faced within the textile industry. What’s needed next is decisive action in implementing scalable technologies from brands and textile manufacturers.
We at Alchemie Technology were honoured to help shape the conversation around sustainability, contributing not only as a commercial leader but as a key knowledge partner showcasing the power of our breakthrough Endeavour™ system. By having the willingness to share, learn, and evolve together, while adopting scalable technologies, we can turn sustainability into action across the textile supply chain. Making clean-tech digital textile dyeing the sustainable way for textile colouration now and for the future.
