Job Vacancy - InkJet Ink Chemist
Alchemie is a fast-growing Materials Science company developing its own digital technologies to jet “difficult” materials either in a liquid or powder form. Unlike inkjet, viscosity is not our burden and our technologies are unique and industry focused. We operate in a fascinating industrial world encompassing a wide range of applications and industries often requiring the deposition of some of the most interesting and important state of art materials. In addition - and based on over 30 years of industrial inkjet experience, we often engage in customer funded inkjet projects using commercially available piezo drop on demand printheads. None of our technical people ever get bored of doing the same thing and you have to embrace the highest scientific problems with real practical adoption to solve the challenges at Alchemie.
We are now looking to expand our chemistry and formulation capability and seek an experienced InkJet Ink Chemist. This is a pivotal and important role to influence the success of Alchemie’s business growth. Ideally with relevant inkjet industry experience and a capability to develop novel inkjet ink formulations for commercially available printheads and proprietary Alchemie Digital Technologies, are the top skill priorities we seek. The role is exciting and varied; it is primarily a lab-based position and will involve cooperating and working in some of our customer labs, mainly in China.
We are looking for a hands-on Chemist with a passion for practical product development and a willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic development environment. We value individuals who can demonstrate an aptitude for “clinical product development” and a broad through based scientific understanding.
We look for bright, hard-working people who are not afraid to push the boundaries and are motivated by a growing start-up environment. You will be expected to interact with many scientific and commercial disciplines, comfortable in a dynamic and agile working environment, plus understand our motto “Good is the enemy of great”.
We are looking for:
- Smart-thinking individuals who inspire and create positive change
- Team player able to build strong working relationships across disciplines and with both internal and external stakeholders
- An ability to innovate beyond conventional boundaries
- The commitment and belief to deliver against high expectations
We are looking for the following technical skills, experience and capabilities:
- Pigment dispersions
- Inkjet ink formulation
- Inkjet product development
- Honours degree from a recognised university
- PhD or higher qualification in a relevant discipline
We offer a competitive salary including a benefits package of 24 days' annual leave, medical insurance and pension fund contributions.
So, if you like the idea of being different, living up to some key technical challenges and want to become the best, apply for this position! Please send your application including a CV and covering letter to Penny Martin – email@example.com
